Justin Nozuka Debuts New Song For CBC 75th Anniversary

Earlier this month, Justin stopped by the Glenn Gould studios for an exclusive performance celebrating the CBC’s 75th anniversary and the Culture Days Open House. During the set, he premiered a brand new song entitled “In Your Light.”

If you weren’t lucky enough to be in attendance, his performance will air on “Big City, Small World” on CBC Radio 1 and “Canada Live” on CBC Radio 2 in the very near future. Check out the clips and photos below!

RZA from the WuTang Clan heard Justin's track Gone (which he only performs live) and decided to sample it for a song dedicated to his good friend and former WuTang Clan member Ol' Dirty Bastard who passed away on November 13th, 2004.

The forces of corruption continue to disrupt and harm this incredibly special planet where we all live and come from! There's a lot of things going on right now! Right now in Brazil, the Amazon is under serious threat with the possibility of law changes that would open up large parts of the Amazon for complete destruction. If Laws change, the indigenous tribes that live in the rainforest as well as the animal species that inhabit the rainforest are at great risk of extinction. The Amazon is vital to life on earth -- 20% of our oxygen and one-fifth of all the world's freshwater comes from this magnificent rainforest. That's why it's so crucial that we all protect it.

There'll be a massive march happening in Brazil in 3 days lead by threatened Indigenous people urging the government to protect the rainforest. There's a viral movement happening right now to raise awareness and to get the world involved. One way you can get involved is by signing this petition.

I think it's so important that we surrender to love and truth and strengthen in this meaningful rise against injustice and these brutal actions that are taking place right now on our planet... Let's protect and nurture our planet!!
